SOAKING TIME : 8 -10 HOURS
PREPARATION TIME: 30 MINUTES
INGREDIENTS
1. Black chnna - 1 cup2. Water - 3 cups
3. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
4. Curry powder - 1 tsp
5 .Coriander powder - 1tsp
6. Onion - 2 finely chapped
7. Ginger paste - 1tsp
8. Garlic paste - 1tsp
9. Dry red whole chilies - 3-4( optional)
10.Tomato puree -1/2 cup( 3-4 tomatoes )
11.Oil . 2 tbsp
12. Salt as per taste
13. Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
14 . Cilantro or coriander leaves few
METHOD
1. Soak black chnna overnight or at-least for 7-8 hours before cooking . Make sure you are washing chnas properly before soaking so that we can use that same water for boiling process without destroying its nutrients .4.Now add boiled chnnas in this tarka ,don't put water and saute it for 4-5 minutes .Put its wtaer in which we boiled chnnas . Add more water if needed and put it in pressure cooker for 1-2 whistle to mix or bind spices properly with chnnas and gravy .
5.Black chnnas are ready . Serve it with rice ,puries and chapaties .
