Tangy Pumpkin

Khatta mitha kaddu with puri is one of the famous combination in North India .In this dish tangy taste come from dry mango powder or sweet come from jaggery .

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time 15 minutes 


INGREDIENTS 


1.Pumpkin cut into pcs - 2 lbs
2.Oil -1 tbsp
3.Cumin seeds-2tsp
4. Amchoor powder -2 tsps
5.Red chilli powder -1 tsp
6.Coriander powder -1-2 tsps
7.Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
8. Jaggery or gur -1 tbsp
9. Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
10. Fenugreek seeds
11. Onion -1 medium
12. ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
13. Green chilli -1
13.Salt as per taste 1 tsp
14.Finely chopped coriander


METHOD 


1. To make khata meetha kaddu take one heavy bottom wok and heat oil ,put cumin seeds ,fenugreek seeds and let it splutter
2. Add onion ,ginger garlic paste and green chilli cook it till aroma comes or golden brown in color
3. Now put pumpkin pcs and saute it for 5 minutes and put remaining  spices  includes red chilli, salt, haldi,coriander powder,garam massla , amchoor powder, and finely jaggery .
4. Let it cook for another 10 minutes .
5. Garnish tangy pumpkin with coriander leaves .
6. Serve with chapati or purries .
