INGREDIENTS
4 large potatoes1/2 inch Ginger root
4 medium sized tomatoes
1 green chili
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
coriander leaves few
oil 1 tsp
salt acc to taste ( in satvik bhojan we normally use less salt)
turmeric powder 1 tsp
Method of satvik aloo with pictures
1. Wash potatoes and remove dirt out of it .
2. Boil them in pressure cooker till 4 whistle ( you can do this process in microwave too)3 peel and cut potatoes into pieces.
4 Make paste of ginger and green chilies .
5. In heavy bottom kadahi put oil followed by cumin seeds add ginger and chili paste . Saute it till brown or aroma comes .
6.Make paste of tomatoes and coriander leaves and put it into fried ginger and green chilli paste
8.After saute or when masala fully coated to pataoes add 2 cups of water .Cook potatoes till water
becomes half of quantity you added .
9. satvik aloo is ready serve them with puries , chapaties and rice .
