Its one of the favorite recipes in North India. Liked by every one. Made with home made cottage cheese and peas blended with Indian spices.

Ingredients
1. Green Peas – 1 cup boiled or frozen
2. Paneer or cottage cheese 200 grams
For paste or puree2. Paneer or cottage cheese 200 grams
- Oil – 2 teaspoons
- Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Onion – 1 medium roughly chopped
- Ginger – ½ inch chopped
- Garlic cloves – 2 chopped
- Green chilies – 2 small chopped
- Tomato – 2 small chopped
- Olive or Vegetable Oil – 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
- Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala – ½ teaspoon
- Salt according to taste.
- Water – 1 cup.
- Few Coriander leaves - finely chopped.
Recipe
- Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan on medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and cook till aroma comes.
- Add and Saute ginger, garlic and green chili for a minute.
- Add onion and salt cook till golden brown.
- Mix tomatoes and Cook till they becomes soft. Let it cool for a while
- When onion and tomatoes are cooled put it into mixer and make fine puree
- Heat remaining 1 tablespoon of oil in pan and add prepared paste and saute.
- Cook till oil comes on sides of pan .
- Add peas ( if peas are frozen then put it in microwave for 3-4 minutes and if its raw then boil them first.)
- Add masala and cook for 2 -3 minutes. Put water and cook for 5-10 minutes.
- Add paneer and slow the heat. Wait till flavors of spices go into paneer
- Now turn off heat
- Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with chapati or naan.
